1. Data controller

Val Thorens Location Ski – Jean-Marc Fumey, owner of the Silveralp 329 and 330 apartments
Résidence Le Silveralp, 382 rue du Soleil, 73440 Val Thorens, France
Contact: through our contact form or by post at the address above.

2. Data collected and purposes

Contact form

When you write to us, we receive the information you enter (name, email address, phone number if provided, dates and message). It is used only to answer your request and prepare your stay. Legal basis: pre-contractual steps taken at your request.

Booking and payment

Bookings are managed with the Lodgify software, and deposits or balance payments may be made through PayPal or Stripe. We never store your bank details: they are processed directly by these providers. Booking information (identity, contact details, dates, number of guests, amounts) is used to perform the rental contract and meet our legal obligations (accounting, tourist tax). Legal basis: performance of the contract and legal obligation.

WhatsApp

If you contact us through WhatsApp, the conversation is subject to WhatsApp’s (Meta) terms and privacy policy. We use these messages only to reply to you.

Visitor statistics

With your consent, we measure site traffic with Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) to understand which pages are viewed and improve the site. These cookies are only set after you consent through the cookie banner. Legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Form security

The contact form is protected against spam by Google reCAPTCHA, which analyses some technical data (IP address, browsing). Legal basis: legitimate interest in protecting the site against abuse.

Map and embedded content

The contact page displays a Google Maps map, loaded only after your consent. The webcam pages embed images from a third-party provider, subject to its own policy.

3. Recipients

Your data is intended for Jean-Marc Fumey only. It may be processed on our behalf by our technical providers: website hosting (Infomaniak, Switzerland), booking software (Lodgify), payment (PayPal, Stripe), the site’s email delivery and the Google services listed above. We never sell or rent your data.

4. Transfers outside the European Union

Some providers may process data outside the European Union. Switzerland benefits from an adequacy decision of the European Commission; for other countries, providers rely on the safeguards provided by the GDPR (standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework).

5. Retention periods

  • Contact requests without a booking: 3 years after our last exchange.
  • Booking data and invoices: 10 years (accounting obligations).
  • Statistics cookies: 13 months maximum; your choice in the cookie banner is kept for 12 months.

6. Cookies

You can accept, refuse or customise cookies at any time from the “Manage consent” tab. Details of the cookies used are given in our cookie policy.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data, to withdraw your consent at any time and to give instructions about your data after your death. To exercise these rights, write to us through the contact form or by post. We reply within one month.

If you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr), or with the authority of your country.

8. Security

The site is served over HTTPS and access to your data is limited to the people who need it to manage your stay.

9. Changes

This policy may change, in particular if a new service is added to the site. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
